I spent a couple of days last week in Stratford upon Avon for the wedding of my good friends Glenn and Leanne. I've been friends with Leanne for the last 4 years on her journey of self improvement. She is an amazing person and as you can see she is so beautiful. Glenn does my tattoos and has become a good friend too so I was very happy when they asked me to drive my Aston Martin as the wedding car. A great time was had by all and I wish them love and happiness forever.

Posterboy
I was pleased to learn this week that my clothing sponsors "Repraw" have been accepted by "The Gym group" to offer promotions to their members. Repraw have created posters like this one for placement around the The Gym group premises. I know that I look miserable but they wanted a serious look ok?! Also this week I did a website interview for an Hungarian company called "Aesthetics Hungary" this link will take you to it
http://aestheticshungary.blogspot.hu/2013/06/kevan-wilson-declares-to-aesthetics.html They were particularly pleased with my training philosophy as it is different to most of the stuff that you read these days but it's the way that I believe people should train for the best results. I'm happy to say that just about everyone that I'm coaching these days totally agrees with me and they are all getting great results too!

Pump It
I always enjoy coaching at other gyms and this week I have to say that I was impressed when I did some work at Pumped Gym in Stevenage, Herts. The gym is well equipped, is superb for whatever level you are training at and as you can see from the photo, the the t - shirts are pretty good too! The place was designed by gym guru Mike Williams, who I spent some time with after work in the cafe area enjoying some chicken and rice (for a change!) Mike has so many great bodybuilding stories from all the years back to the sixties and he is also extremely knowledgeable about the sport so all in all I had a brilliant day. On a different subject, I was not surprised to hear about the "prism programme", whereby people lives are monitored through such things as social media servers, I wonder if the authorities are as fed up as I am with wannabes posting pictures of their food and telling everyone how they are going to "smash it" in the gym. It's called bodybuilding not body smashing!Saturday, 1 June 2013
The Lion Sleeps Tonight
Another busy week so no change there! The promo video for the TV series has been made and will hopefully be aired in a couple of months time. We are also planning to make a DVD of this years show prep and have it available for purchase by Christmas. Show prep is hard enough and having it all filmed will make it even tougher but I'm looking forward to the challenge. My initial plans are to compete on September 22nd to try to retain the UKBFF Midlands title that I won last year as a warm up for the British finals on October 19th, after that I will see how I feel before making any further competition decisions. Talking of challenges, I can't wait for the British Lions tour of Australia. The warm up match against the Barbarians was encouraging, the Lions are strong in every department and if they can run each game through Mike Phillips and Johnny Sexton then I predict a series victory.Saturday, 25 May 2013

Body Power 2013
This weekend sees the return of the Body Power expo at the NEC. This is a brilliant expo and I am very disappointed that I can't be there this year. As I won the UKBFF show at this event for the first 2 years running it has a special place in my heart . The problem is that I had my final eye surgery on Wednesday and I can't drive long distances yet, also I have to protect my eyes which means that I would have to walk around the expo in sunglasses which is not an image that I want to project! I'm also having to miss training for a few weeks while they recover so I'm going stir crazy sitting about all day! On the plus side I now have HD vision for the rest of my life and it means that I have been able to spend some extra time with Lilybelle. Here is Granddad's Princess in my new jacuzzi, she loves bubbles!Monday, 13 May 2013
Behind Blue Eyes
Firstly a massive well done to my mate Martin Stevenson who placed 5th in the NABBA Pro-Am at Brierly Hill yesterday. Martin will now go on to the NABBA Britain in 2 weeks where he has a great chance of winning the Class 1. Thanks for all the kind comments about the new workout video, it was deliberately done while I'm off season and drug free, there are enough videos of me in show condition so this was a nice departure. There is a new "music" edit now online so please click this link and share it www.youtube.com/watch?v=D33DaxHuJDw I couldn't get to Martin's show as last week I had eye surgery to one eye, I had the lens replaced and it's still too blurry to drive long distances. The other one is being done at the end of this week and after that I will have HD vision and never need my reading glasses again! Finally, last week I spent some time with one of my favourite people in the whole world, 5 year old Bailey who had her Birthday last week. I've known Bailey since she was a baby and she just gets more beautiful every time I see her as you can see from the picture.
